... but did not get the required 68%. In fact; I only got 58%. I'm free to try again in 2 weeks. I imagine I will write it again; I can't see why I wouldn't. The exam marks break down the area that I need further study in quite well. I have the basic OO down and did pretty well in the UML; but my Java OO implementation was not so hot (I grossly underestimated the level of detail this exam would go into). It's the 7th certification exam I've written and the first failure; so I don't feel too badly about failing.
I do feel badly about the $138 cdn that I spent; and will have to spend again to rewrite this exam.
And no; I don't need this Sun Certified Java Associate (Coffee Ass for short) certification for work or anything; it just seemed like awhile since I had written a certification exam. I still want to get my MCSA as the Server+ and Network+ count as prerequisites towards that certification. I'll likely work towards my SCJP as well I suppose.
