I had to remove the r_e_f_e_r_r_e_r_s list (I'm afraid to even spell it) from the front page. No one will miss it except for the casino sites that tried to leave spam notes at a rate of about 200 per minute. As I read somewhere; the ref*rrers list was cool once; but they ruined it; so now it has to go. My web site was actually shut down due to the hits; how silly is that - I think there are less than 10 legitimate views of my site that aren't me per month; and the spammers are hammering it. I've started updating the .htaccess file daily; perhaps that will help. I'm afraid that I may have to move this to my own server rather than the host; so I can lock it down a bit better. Lame.
