Saturday 17 Sep '05 - + 6 - 7 XP Remote Desktop

Windows Remote Desktop is a huge timesaver; but you can't always be connecting from a PC with the Remote Desktop Client already installed. What to do? You follow the direction in this article on how to set up Set Up Remote Desktop Web Connection with Windows XP; then you just point your clients Internet Explorer to your PC's Remote Desktop TS web page.

One feature about remote desktop that does not seem to be generally known, is that the remote desktop client can be installed on virtually any windows computer (win 95 and up), and the client is freely available as a download from microsoft. Only the host is required to run Win XP Pro.
