After looking around a few websites at electric bicycles; I've found one that stands out as looking to be the best: Tidalforce 750. Electric bikes; depending on brand and model; can either propel you without pedeling or assist your effort. One quote I liked was that it "turns uphills down". Forget where I read that, sorry. There is a store opening on Cunard that will sell electric assited bicycles. The law here in Nova Scotia as far as I can find out online; is that to be still considered a bicycles it must have less than 500 watts of power (the Tidalforce mentioned above has 750 watts) and have pedels that are attached and functional at any time; and must not be power-assisted after 32 km/h. The store on Cunard will (according to a guy I spoke to) also be selling the LashOut bike. The LashOut is a bit more in my price range - the TidalForce is in the $3,500 CDN range; the LashOut is closer to $1,100. I think this would be a sharp way to get to and from work. I don't suppose anyone wants to contribute to the electric bicycle fund?
